Tips To Buy Golf Equipment

This the last in the series of tips to buy golf equipment, today I will be focusing on your bag and clubs.

Golf Bag

There are a number of bags available so this is a whole topic on its own, today I just want to give you the basics to buying a golf bag.

Ensure the bag is lightweight for easy carrying and one that comes with two sturdy straps, these should go over both shoulders to ensure you don’t cause yourself any injury.

You can take a trolley round most golf courses and it can be a great alternative to carry your golf bag round.

The bag should have plenty of pockets, to store all your accessories and refreshments.

Golf Clubs

Similar to the golf bags there are a wide range of golf clubs available, this section describes some good tips to think about when deciding to purchase any clubs.

To start with a beginners set can be purchased which would consist of a half set, couple of woods, putter, pitching wedge and 3 or 4 irons. This set would be perfect for someone just starting out. When they have played for a while the remainder clubs can be added.

There are two main types of irons, the cast irons clubs are more suited to beginners or high handicapped players. These clubs will have a larger sweet spot so will give extra forgiveness if you don’t hit the ball correctly in the centre.

The forged irons are for more experienced golfers with a low handicap as they have a smaller sweet spot and provide greater spin and control to your shots. You need to have a well groomed swing to use all the benefits of these types of clubs.

Thats it for the tips to purchasing the correct golf equipment, good luck.
