Quick Golf Equipment Review

Buying the correct Golf Equipment is something you need to think about as soon as you take up golf. There are some many different types of equipment to think it can at first be quite daunting.

So other the next few days I will share with you my thoughts on how to purchase the correct gear in my daily golf equipment reviews.

My first post is regarding two essential parts of your golf equipment, these are your shoes and glove. Follow these tips when purchasing.

Golf Shoes

Having the correct golf shoes are essential to keep you feeling comfortable during your round, I remember the first few games I played I wore an old pair of trainers what a mistake that was.

Remember when playing golf you end up walking a long distance, quite a few miles up and down hills and also sometimes in rough ground, having the wrong shoes can be a disaster. Spiked shoes will give you a firmer stance as the spikes will dig into all types of ground, ideal for muddy wet days to avoid slipping when about to take you’re shot.

Spiked golf shoes can be purchased at a very reasonable price from golf clubs or sports stores, also you can spend a fair amount it all depends whether you want to dress just like Tiger Woods!!

Golf Glove

A golf glove should fit perfectly like a second layer of skin and always ask to try the glove on before you purchase it. As how the glove fits is key for you to grip your golf club correctly and have complete control of your club.

In my opinion a thin leather glove is the best option as you get a better feel when wearing this type of glove. The glove should be water resistant, so always check the label, this is a requirement when playing in wet conditions which are subject to the odd rain shower.

After a number of rounds the glove will stretch and not fit perfectly so make sure to replace it straight away so not to affect your game.

Warmer gloves or mittens should also be in your bag, these are required to keep you’re hands warm during any wet or cold games. Put them on in between your shots to keep your hands warm and dry this will ensure you have good grip.

Look out for tomorrows post...
